It is not always possible for the consultant to respond immediately and personally to your telephone call. The secretaries and the nurse are knowledgeable and instructed to help with your questions. They can also act as the intermediary to get answers to your questions from the consultant.
Calls of a medical nature will be answered by our 'telephone nurse'. Our nurses are intensively and specifically trained to answer your questions. On occasions when they cannot they will either ask the consultant or have the consultant call himself.
